The presentation will cover various topics related to the
precast concrete industry, including its benefits and
attributes, plant manufacturing processes, quality
management and various certifications. It will discuss
different types of precast components and structural
systems that can be created using precast concrete, as well
as the aesthetic features that can be achieved through color,
form, and texture. The presentation also highlights the
versatility, efficiency, and resilience of precast concrete in
various applications.

KULWINDER S LAYAL- Kulwinder is a registered Professional
Engineer with over 20 years of international experience in
construction design, estimating, quality, and project management
across cast-in-place and precast concrete industries. He holds a Civil
Engineering degree from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College,
India, and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Engineering from the
University of Manitoba. Known for his problem-solving skills and
patient approach, he actively innovates in both professional and
personal pursuits and enjoys public speaking. Outside work,
Kulwinder volunteers with charitable organizations, spends quality
time with family, and engages in his children’s recreational
activities.
RENE CARRIER- Rene is a Certified Engineering Technologist
with a background in construction and structural engineering. He
graduated from Red River College in 2013 with a diploma in
Structural Engineering Technology and began his career in quality
control at Armtec, gaining experience in precast fabrication,
surveying, and project coordination. Since 2020, he has been serving
as Project Manager at Multicrete Precast Inc. Outside of work, Rene
enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, and
volunteering at Winnipeg’s annual Festival du Voyageur during the
winter.
