ABSTRACT:
Obtaining a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation requires navigating distinct regulatory landscapes, particularly for internationally educated engineers. This presentation provides a practical roadmap for professionals seeking registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. The session outlines the speaker’s personal licensure journey before detailing Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba’s Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) program, including crucial April 2026 updates. The primary focus provides strategies for drafting a successful CBA report. Using the speaker’s own report—submitted in November 2024 and approved in April 2025—as a case study, attendees will learn to articulate engineering experience against national competencies, engage validators, and accelerate their path to professional licensure.
